Practice Description & Policies

What To Expect

You will be seen in a comfortable and beautiful office where you will receive discrete individualized attention and your confidential health information will be secure and protected.

New patients are evaluated during a 90 minutes psychiatric interview. Initial diagnostic impressions and treatment considerations are discussed at the end of this meeting. A second visit is scheduled within one to three weeks of the evaluation. Close monitoring of your progress is an essential part of optimal care. Subsequent follow-up visits are scheduled based on individual needs. The time between visits is extended once you begin to feel well.

Fees And Insurance

I offer care tailored to the individualized needs of each patient. I do not follow treatment regimens or programs dictated by insurance companies. Consequently, I do not participate in managed care or insurance networks of any type. My practice is strictly on a fee-for-service basis. The fee schedule is reviewed with you when you contact our office.

Payment is due in full at the time services are rendered. Payment can be made by cash, check or credit card (Visa, MasterCard). Patients are responsible for promptly meeting at reserved appointment times. Late cancellations and missed sessions are charged at the full fee.

Availability

I am available and very responsive outside of scheduled appointment times for important clinical issues. Routine questions and medication adjustments are best made during a regular scheduled session when your concerns will be fully explored. Patients who require frequent or extended phone consultations will be billed for that additional time and effort.

Calls from patients who do not attend regular visits create a large daily burden of uncompensated work and will not be permitted. In order to maintain active patient status and receive medication refills, patients are expected to regularly schedule and keep appointments as medically necessary and determined by the practice.
